Acrylic w/ a little bit of prismacolor color pencil on wood. I am really pleased with the final outcome of this piece. I really needed to try something a little different, so i experimented with some drip and splatter and this is the final outcome. As with all my pieces i am really sorry the image quality is so poor and that the piece is crooked, i really dont know how to do it any differently. my appologies.
I also have a detail pic of just the portrait on hand, because you cant really see the portrait too well on this pic. so if anyone thinks i should upload it just let me know.
thank you..sometimes its difficult to force yourself out of a comfort zone..but it needed to be done...my friend thinks it looks like an explosion.haha.
it really depends.i just find a photo either online or in magazines like VOGUE or W or other publications like that. I do a lot of Christina Ricci pieces, this being one of them, and i just find those on various websites.
That's great! I love the spiral-concept. You did this on wood? I'd love to have one of these paintings of yours on a huge canvas. Framed and put up on my wall. Haha.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Have a great time everyone and please fav this article so as many people can see the featured works. I would recommend seeing each one and faving them too.
