the race for your neck

Its a race,
a great American tragedy,
colors equal choices,
through the dirty, honest microphone the announcer yells
"Blue is in the lead...Oh no gold is taking over with red nipping at its pigment! Oh this is exciting!"
I feel my stomach collapse,
tears drowned my eyes,
"yellow takes the lead!!! My o' my these colors are hungry for a victory, look at them go!"
I close my fucked stupid eyes in shame,
they want your neck,
it will be a fight to the death and i cant watch,
who will win?
they all have a fighting chance, only those brave enough to watch will know for sure,
but if i was a betting man, i would put my money on which ever color you best identify yourself with.
